The "Forest Friends" Log was a cute piece to have on the buffet table, but trying to follow the slicing instructions was a major project and I never did manage to cut it cleanly (without the chocolate shell falling apart). The chocolate animals and broken bits of cake tasted ok but I gave up on trying to serve slices and threw most of it away. Will not buy again.

Although this cake was very good taste wise...I and my family felt it was a bit on the dry side. The chocolate was awesome, but the cake was dry and crumbly.

Cute-I've wanted to order it for several years, but price has kept me from it. This year, I took the plunge after seeing how it was made on a food channel program. The cake was not as moist as I thought it would be. That was somewhat of a letdown, but it was overall good just not great. It is doubtful I will reorder it any time soom ~ maybe not at all.

I look forward to this yule log every year. Tastes great! Easy to prepare if the directions are read and followed. Always tastes as good as I remember.
