Rated 5 out of 5 by from delicious! My husband and I have always liked fruitcake but hadn't bought one in awhile. I decided to buy one this year in memory of my parents who bought one every year and his dad who loved it as well. We were so pleased as this fruitcake is delicious.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Received a refund The first item that was sent was not edible. When cutting it the first time it fell completely apart due to completely being dried out. The replacement that I requested was the same condition. I was refunded for my purchase. I ordered the 3 pound cake last year as a gift and it was so good I ordered the five pound this year as a gift. Big mistake.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Christmas Fruitcake I bought a small one to sample. Liked the flavor, but thought it was dry. So, I gave it a good sousing of brandy and VOILA! Good flavor became great flavor. So I ordered a size larger for a little Christmas Fruitcake extension.

Question & Answer

Does this fruitcake contain high fructose corn syrup? I experience a very bad physical reaction when I consume high fructose.

Asked by: Tom2200
Tom: This is written out of concern and not presumption. Have you always had this reaction to high fructose corn syrup. If this is something new, I would see my doctor and have my blood sugar tested. The substance is high content sugar from fruits. If you have no allergies to fruits of any kind or other foods with high sugar content,, you might be feeling a symptom of diabetes. Most things we buy on the grocery shelf these days has high fructose corn syrup if it is meant to be sweet.

Do you sell any fruit cakes that don't contain alcohol?

Asked by: Janet
Jane: Unless it is the flavor you don't like in a fruit cake, the alcohol doesn't matter. Alcohol cooks out of all food and just leaves a nice flavor. You don't actually taste alcohol in the food. But Swiss Colony cakes have no alcohol. I wouldn't mind a little rum :)
