Damaged merchandise
All the pieces were apart. They arrived late. They tasted okay but was not worth trying to reassemble them.

Baklava nightmare
The baklava was stale and you couldn’t get it out of the box it came in. It literally stuck to the bottom of the box. You need a spatula, a lot of elbow grease, and then the baklava falls apart into a clump that’s just a mess to eat. I purchased many boxes of baklava, as Christmas gifts, and in every case, this happened, I checked or asked the recipients.

Stale
I have bought these before and they are great. This last shipment I got for my mom and they are stale and hard. My mom ate some and said they were tasteless and stale. Very disappointed.

Good, not great...
I received the two boxes of baklava about 7 days after shipping, in a gold gift box inside a plain cardboard box. When I took the baklava out, I read on it's package that it was to stay refrigerated. It spent an entire week without being done so. Very disappointing. Then I opened the box to have one, and noticed that several of the pieces were all over the box, broken up and a mess. Once I got the mess taken care of, the baklava was good, but I have had better, and not nearly as expensive. The second box was just the opposite. None of the pieces had been cut all the way through. When I tried to take them out of the box, the bottom half stuck to the bottom of the box. I had to cut each piece with a knife, and still the bottom layer was stuck to the box on every piece. If the quality assurance and quality control would have been better, and sent refrigerated, they probably would have a lot more enjoyable!

Question & Answer
I want to order these because they look delicious despite the negative comments I’m reading, however, I don’t want to receive a stale pack. This worries me.
I always flip the package upside down for about an hour and then flip it back for about an hour. Kinda redistributes the honey throughput.

Is the Baklava made with real honey or corn syrup or artificial sweeteners? Also in what percentages? Thank You, Frank

How long will the baklava be good for wrapped?
Baklava is meant to be consumed fairly quickly. Over about a week, for example. However, one can put it in the refrigerator to extend how long it will last, which is about a month or so. Do be aware that putting in the refrigerator will make it harder when you bite into it so let it sit for about 30 minutes before you eat it out of the refrigerator. It will not go bad if you let it sit to soften. And you can put it right back into the refrigerator. Or you can take out what you want and let that sit for about 30 minutes to soften up and leave everything else in the fridge.

Is this product too sweet? I enjoy light sweet treats only.
Baklava is sickeningly sweet whether it has only honey, or honey and High Fructose Corn Syrup combined. I've had tons of both over the decades. And unless "Steve777" is a doctor or a nurse, it's totally inappropriate for him to be preaching about what HFCS does to a body. The answer to a question like that depends on how much is being consumed and over how long a duration one consumes it. If one consumes it a few times in a year, it'll likely do nothing except add extra calories that belong to no food group. If one consumes it all the time and in most of the food they eat, yes, there are plenty of negative ramifications on the body. It also depends on existing medical issues like being a diabetic, for example. And I *AM* a nurse!
