Excellent!
My mother and grandmother made dobosh cakes when I was growing up. This cake tastes and looks exactly like theirs did. It is delicious! It took me right back to my childhood. I will order it again. Thank you.

NOTHING LIKE THE DOBOSH TORTES OF YORE
Purchased this for Christmas to service as desert. SUCH a disappointment. It was nothing like the dobash tortes that my grandmother used to purchase at the bakery when I was a child. The outside was the same and the thin layers were exceptionally dry BUT the layers of chocolate are not supposed to be fudge frosting! They should be a light chocolate butter cream to contrast with the hard outer shell and thin layers. Such a disappointment all the way around.

Bought this for Christmas day. Let it get to room temperature for slicing, used the warm knife (under hot water) as instructed, but the outside chocolate still cracked in places and cake was dry. Ice cream would have helped but the outside chocolate would have been too hard. Definitely won't order again.

I bought this for Christmas so it was in the refrigerator for a week but when we ate it the cake wasn’t moist and had a stale taste. The filling was tasteless.
I remember years ago I ordered these and they were to die for so I’m not sure what happened

Used to be my favorite thing at Christmastime
I’ve been getting these tortes for at least 30 years. My mom would always buy us one then I continued the tradition. The last couple of years the quality hasn’t been up to par. The usually delicious chocolate filling/Creme is awful this year. It looks chocolatey, rich and delicious but it tastes like nothing but shortening. It’s pretty much awful and very much disappointing. The chocolate coating is good/same as usual. But after taking a bite of the torte I’m left with an undissolved glob of shortening or whatever in my mouth that I don’t care to swallow. Tasteless and disappointing, I sadly more than likely won’t purchase next year. Bleh!
What’s happened? Does Swiss colony have quality control? Do humans taste this before it goes out the door? Can I have my money back?
If this is a matter of the company cutting back to save money, I’m perfectly willing to pay More for the quality product you used to offer.

product does not match picture
Bought this product for about 40 years & was always satisfied. This year I was disappointed as the white cake layers are paper thin and the layers themselves are inconsistent. The entire cake almost appears somewhat compressed.
